Tylenol Recall Article

Basically, the FDA is recalling a wide spectrum of drugs that the company Johnson & Johnson makes (Motrin, Rolaids, and of course Tylenol) due to widespread complaints of a "musty, moldy" odor. Reportedly, this is not a new observation as it has been called in by users of the drugs to J&J since 2008.

The smell itself seems to originate from a compound called "2,4,6-tribromoanisole (TBA)," which is applied to wooden pallets that are used to transport and store packaging materials. Huh, what? Haha, how did that get there? Anyway, they said they are unsure of whether or not it interferes with the chemical composition of the drugs that were listed above.

Kinda scary that they have no idea whether or not it's something to worry about.. Although, if this complaint has existed since 2008 and there are no serious issues concerning it... *shrugs*
